A farm and holiday site in West Cumbria is getting spooky this Halloween by decorating hay bales to look like frightening faces.

Shepherd's View Holidays in Holmrook near Drigg and Seascale have created Halloween themed bales from hay and farm equipment.

The two faces this year are a 'man eating pumpkin' and Frankenstein.

Julie Shepherd, owner of the site, said: "We do them every year because it's a bit of fun.

"They are displayed on the roadside so passers by can see them and they prove very popular with children.

"Lots of people will stop and take photos and we hope that it will cheer them up."

In previous years Julie said that they have decorated bale to look like cats, bats and 'man eating spiders.'

Firstly they are painted then other accessories are added to them to make them as entertaining as possible.

They can also be seen at night as their eyes are made from solar lights so that they glow in the dark.

This is the fourth year that Julie and her family have decided to create the fun looking creatures.

However last year they decided not to run the display due to poor weather conditions.

People are able to camp or stay in a caravan at the holiday site so they will be able to come and enjoy the attractions this autumn.

The farm have also stated in the past that they may do a Christmas themed display so we may see some festive themed bales this winter.

Will you and your family be going to see these spooky spectacles this Halloween, they're not to be missed?
