A NEW programme of activities has been launched to help people engage in their communities.

Inside Out begins at Botchergate Community Centre on 11 November and runs for six weeks.

The programme is designed to help people get out and about and engage with things that are happening in your community.

Each week a different local organisation will bring a creative activity for attendees to try.

The team can signpost attendees to similar, longer term opportunities.

Anyone can take part in the session and you don’t need to be referred.

No skills or experience are required for any activity. Sessions are designed to be fully accessible, and individuals can choose how involved they are.

The sessions will run weekly for six weeks and attendance at all sessions in encouraged.

They are free but there is a suggested donation of £2.50.

Each session runs between 2pm and 4pm each Thursday with attendees welcome from 1:30pm.

The programme is run by Thriving Communities Carlisle.

This is a partnership supporting our communities to recover from the impact of COVID-19 using social, arts, culture, nature-based and wellbeing activities.

The partners are Tullie House, Carlisle City Council, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Prism Arts, Susie Tate Projects, NCIC and Carlisle Healthcare.
