Police have been informed about some graffiti that has appeared at a nature reserve.

Penrith Town Council said that they have been made aware of "lots" of graffiti that has appeared at Thacka Beck Nature Reserve.

The council said that the police are "aware" of the graffiti and have urged anyone who has any information regarding the graffiti should come forward.

The town council took to social media, saying: "This is a lovely area, enjoyed by many and doesn't need to be spoilt by a few.

"The Police are aware so if you have any information in relation to this please call Cumbria Police on 101 and quote incident number CP-20210916-0040."
