If are struggling for ideas on how to keep the kids occupied during half term, the Lake District Wildlife Park have the solution.

The attraction in Bassenthwaite have announced a couple of events they will run next week whilst the schools are closed.

From Monday 25th to Sunday 31st the Wildlife Park celebrates Cumbria Wildlife Week. During the week, children have the chance to ‘Become a Nature Detective’. There will be fun games all about the wildlife in the county including: Who’s paw print? Who’s fur? Who’s feather and Which tree?

This year the Park will be joined by other organisations including the RSPB, and Wildlife Crime Prevention Unit author Sarah J Dodd who will be introducing her book about the Lynx, titled “Keeper of Secrets”. The event runs from 11:00am - 3.00pm and normal entry fees apply.

During Halloween weekend, guests can meet Minibeasts, follow the spooky Halloween Trail and take part in creepy craft activities during the Halloween Fun event at the Park. Entry to the event is free for children who come in Halloween Fancy Dress and parents are urged to contact the Park for specific event timings.
