A local organisation are looking for people to help out on their fortnightly Memory Cafes.

The cafe events take place at Whitehaven RUFC between 11am and 12:30pm on Tuesdays.

Copeland Age and Advice Service are in need of volunteers to help to run the event.

A spokesperson said: "Are you able to offer your time Fortnightly on Tuesday's 11am-12.30pm at Whitehaven RUFC to help with our Memory Cafe.

"We are looking for Volunteers to help run the Memory Cafe, you even get to take part in the activities."

The cafes comprise of social groups that help people who are suffering from memory troubles.

Coffee and cake will be available to guests and there will be an opportunity to have a chat with the volunteers and other attendees.

It costs £2 to attend and the money helps to go towards supporting the essential service.

The volunteers will have the chance to interact with the visitors and help them with overcoming issues that they may be having.

The spokesperson added: "If you would like to become a Memory Cafe Volunteer please contact the CAAS Team on 01946 552166 to discuss and we can post out a Volunteer Form."
