One of the UK’s busiest rock acts will perform in Carlisle at the end of the month.

Hands Off Gretel are an Alternative Rock/Grunge pop band from South Yorkshire. They have been described as having a Gwen Stefani style swagger and play Nirvana-esque grunge music. The band will perform at The Brickyard on Thursday 28 October.

Over the last few years they have gigged relentlessly and swelled their UK and international fan base, resulting in a largely sold out UK album tour, busy European dates and appearances at major festivals including, Isle of Wight, Camden Rocks Festival, Y Not and Kendal Calling. They have also played the BBC Introducing stages at Tramlines and Humber Street Sesh.

Last month, they performed an acoustic set at a charity art exhibition in London organised by Hole singer Courtney Love to commemorate the 30th anniversary of her band’s debut album.

The band have received critical acclaim on their self-released album “I Want The World’ (2019). With Classic Rock putting this at No.15 in the Top 50 rock albums of 2019 ‘so far’ and Kerrang Magazine giving it a 4/5.

Tickets for the performance are still available and cost £12. They can be purchased through See Tickets.
