BIG laughs are coming to Carlisle when comedian Al Murray visits the city next year.
The comedian returns as the Pub Landlord in his new show, ‘Gig for Victory’, which takes place on Wednesday, June 8 at The Sands Centre.
The premise of Murray’s new show is identifying the answers that men and women around the country are looking for - even the ones they didn’t realise they needed. The self-proclaimed ‘people’s man of the people', the Pub Landlord will be there to show punters the way.
Wherever you are, he says he will, within sensible travel limits and theatre booking policies, offer people thirsty for common sense a full pint of the good stuff.
For over 20 years the comedian has filled the most prestigious venues around the UK, including London’s 02 Arena and the iconic Royal Albert Hall. He has won numerous awards, hosted critically acclaimed television shows, and in 2015 famously stood for election in the hotly contested seat of South Thanet, where he stood alongside UKIP leader Nigel Farage who surprisingly came second to Conservative MP Craig Mackinlay.
Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow, October 8, at 10am and will be available on the Sands Centre website or by calling 01228 633766.
