A popular Carlisle indie band is celebrating its first live gig in over a year.
City group Hardwicke Circus took to Facebook following their hometown gig at t Cuthbert's church.
Following their triumphant return to action after a long lay off due to Government restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the band hailed a night of music back where they began.
They said: "What an incredible night playing live again after 18 months of silence, huge thanks to St Cuthbert’s and everyone that came down! We’re back in full force and ready for tour, from the north to the south. See you on the road!"
Their debut album ‘The Borderland’ is released next Friday 23rd July.
An ode to a Cumbria childhood, the band described the album as a collection of songs about growing up 'in the in-between from a town you only end up in by accident'.
You can pre-order the album online.
