Pentonbridge Inn

News and Star:

Pentonbridge Inn is a five star, award-winning restaurant with rooms that offers nine beautifully appointed bedrooms both in the original building and in the connected converted barn. With stunning views over the Cumbrian countryside and the rolling Scottish hills, each room takes their name from a Border Reivers clan, infamous for raiding and marauding their neighbours.

Their décor makes use of tweed, wood, and slate to reinforce its Cumbrian countryside location. Dogs are welcome in the three barn rooms and receive a bowl and bed to go with the edible treats left for their lucky owners. Staying means you’re welcome to visit nearby Netherby Hall. The country house is less than ten minutes’ drive away and has a selection of beautiful self-catering accommodation, while its walled garden supplies the vegetables and herbs prepared in the inn’s highly regarded kitchen.

The menu is designed to highlight fantastic suppliers and the best produce grown in our Walled Garden at Netherby Hall. We offer a seasonally changing A la Carte and Signature Tasting Menu.

The food is reflective of our Head chef Chris’ unique style of modern British/European cuisine, and love of seasonal local ingredients.
