CARLISLE MP John Stvenson has been visiting a popular bingo hall ahead of National Bingo Day.
Buzz Bingo has seen a steady increase in customers returning to the game, as safety measures have been put in place and confidence has grown through the vaccination programme.
Mr Stevenson said: "Buzz Bingo is at the heart of the community in Carlisle and I was delighted to meet the staff and some of the customers.
"Playing bingo has many positive benefits from enhancing memory and cognitive skills to elevating mood and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves. I'm pleased to lend National Bingo Day my support."
National Bingo Day was first established in the United States, but this is the first year the event has ever been launched in the UK.
