Carlisle United have confirmed details for the launch of their new kit - this week.

The Blues will unveil their 2021/22 home and away strips at a special event for season-ticket holders this Thursday.

Those fans will get the first chance to buy the new kit, which will then go on general sale on Friday.

The latest Errea kits will be the first to feature new main shirt sponsor Thomas Graham, who replace Edinburgh Woollen Mill on the front of Carlisle's shirts.

Another Carlisle firm, Kitchen Rebels, will have their logo on the Cumbrians' shorts.

United say they are looking forward to unveiling the new designs.

Director of football David Holdsworth said the home shirt "has a slight twist to a familiar design" - a hint that the 2021/22 shirt could have some resemblance to a past Blues kit.

He added that the club were "very confident" the away kit would also be popular.

The launch event for 2020/21 season-ticket holders run from 4pm-8pm at the Blues Store on Thursday.

Commercial manager Jenny Anderson added on the club website: “To acknowledge the patience and understanding shown by last season’s season ticket holders, particularly with them first being allowed back into the ground, only to then have that taken away, we have decided to open exclusively for them on Thursday evening to give them an opportunity to come along, see the new kit and make their purchase."

Social distancing guidelines will be in operation, while fans are required to wear masks, other than those who are exempt.

United's 2020/21 season ticket holders can claim a 10 per cent discount. Fans are asked to bring their season ticket card or an alternative form of identification which will be checked against United's season ticket holder list.

General sale of the new kits will then start at 10am on Friday, with online and telephone orders also being taken from Friday morning.

Holdsworth adde that Italy-based Errea have done a "fantastic" job with the kits and wer quick to come up with "two kit concepts put together that we were all very happy with".

“The logo for our new front-of-shirt sponsor Thomas Graham looks magnificent," he added, "and as we’ve said before it’s good to see such a strong local company partnering with us in this way."

United plan to run teasers of the new designs on their website in the build-up to the launch.
