A police investigation has been launched after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries on Monday.
A police investigation is now underway into the incident of grevious bodily harmed that happened at about midday, on Burrowgate in Penrith
The incident is believed to have involved two men.
A police spokesman said: "A local man in his 30’s was taken to Penrith hospital with serious injuries and was discharged the same day."
Officers are keen to speak to a man described as white, of stocky build, with short greying hair, aged in his late 30’s and was wearing blue shorts and a blue T-shirt at the time of incident."
