Two men have been arrested after an affray in Whitehaven last night.
The men have both now been arrested after being found with weapons.
Police were called to the incident on Lowther street in the town centre at about 5:30pm yesterday evening, June 10, after reports an affray involving two men.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "During the police investigation, a knife was located at the scene.
"A 48-year-old man from Whitehaven was arrested on suspicion of using threatening and insulting behaviour, possession of a controlled Class B drug, possession of a controlled Class C drug and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He remains in custody at this time.
"A 49-year-old man from Whitehaven was arrested on suspicion of using threatening and insulting behaviour and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He also remains in custody."
Police reported that only minor injuries were found .
