Two MPs are inviting Cumbrian businesses to a series of events that aim to assist them with finding new international customers.
Conservative MPs John Stevenson and Mark Jenkinson, for Carlisle and Workington respectively, are working alongside representatives from the Department for International Trade to bring another Parliamentary Export Programme session to businesses in the region.
This is the second of three events and is being held virtually on July 8 from 11am.
Mr Stevenson said: "This is an excellent opportunity for local firms to learn more about global exports and how to grow their business internationally, taking full advantage of emerging trade agreements across the world. "I would encourage any local businesses interested in expanding their market globally to join us on 8th July."
Mr Jenkinson added: "There are a number of export businesses in the Workington constituency.
"We are very lucky to have two Ports- the Port of Workington and the Port of Silloth- which are important for our
export infrastructure locally.
"The Department for International Trade are keen to meet local exporters and I look forward to the meeting next
month."
