A HOTEL near Keswick has hosted the cast of hit TV show, The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

The Armathwaite Hall Hotel in Bassenthwaite hosted the women as they enjoyed a ‘girl’s staycation’ in the Lake District .

The hotel featured over the course of two episodes on the Hit ITV Be show.

The show focuses on a group of extremely wealthy women who live in the most desired area's of Cheshire- with all the designer clothes, beauty treatments and cat fights that come alongside.

General Manager at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa, Simon Steele featured in the episode on Monday, May 31 when he welcomed the ladies to the hotel.

Simon said: “Since our reopening, our occupancy rates have continued to grow exponentially and have surpassed our expectations.

"We’re pleased to be able to reopen with our full offering of activities and even better, a full team of staff especially after such a difficult year for hospitality.

"It’s wonderful to see our guests enjoying our beautiful hotel and extensive outdoor facilities.

"After being cooped up at home for so long, it’s great that the Lake District is being appreciated for its natural beauty once more and we look forward to welcoming guests as the Summer months continue.

”During lockdown, Armathwaite Hall also welcomed filming of popular TV shows including The Real Housewives of Cheshire whose episode broadcast on the 31st May bank holiday viewing.

"During the episode, the cast were seen to be enjoying themselves throughout the hotel and spa, focusing on a true Lake District experience."
