CUMBRIA Wildlife Trust’s ‘Get Cumbria Buzzing!’ project is inviting the public to the following event:
Herbicides, their effect on pollinators, and what we can do to help held on Wednesday, June 9 from 2pm until 3pm.
In this free webinar, Dr Catherine Jones from Buglife explores current research findings on the herbicide glyphosate and its effect on pollinators.
They are also joined by Julian Smith, Allerdale Borough Council, Chloe O’Hare, Highways England, Ricky Andrews, Tivoli, and Barnaby Coupe, The Wildlife Trusts, who will share the practical issues that their industries face, as we attempt to ascertain best practice solutions for herbicide use.
The webinar is aimed at anyone who is interested in herbicides and their effects, or is involved in managing or working on green spaces, or in a horticultural or garden setting.
