Cumbria police have confirmed a man has been charged after a drugs raid in Wigton.
Officers executed a drugs warrant at a property on High Street on Friday.
A 27-year-old man has appeared in court charged with production of a controlled substance of class B – cannabis. He was remanded in custody.
Police and firefighters were at the scene and officers seized a number of cannabis plant from the property.
A spokesman for the police said: “Police seized a number of cannabis plants after executing a drugs warrant at a premises in High Street, Wigton, on Friday (May 21).
“Blerim Muca, 27, of High Street, Wigton, was charged with production of a controlled substance of class B – cannabis.
“He appeared before North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded in custody ahead of a next court appearance on June 22.”
