CARLISLE City Council has been tackling environmental offences within the city with one of it's eco-friendly vehicles.

The 100 per cent electric enforcement vehicle has been on patrol to try and curb offences such as dog fouling, fly tipping and littering.

The vehicle has already visited areas such as Broome Court, Cumrew Close and the Sheepmount in recent weeks and will continue to travel round the area.

The vehicle is one of a fleet of six as part of Carlisle City Council’s #KeepCarlisleclean campaign that aims to reduce the number of environmental crimes within the city.

Residents are reminded that if they wish to report anyone they see committing these crimes, or see any instances of fly-tipping in their area, they can report them by emailing: customerservices@carlisle.gov.uk
