Soft play areas are set to reopen on May 17, the Prime Minister announced on Monday evening.

This is part of stage three of the roadmap out of lockdown, and focuses on the reopening of indoor venues.

With this in mind, we've taken a look at some of the top rate soft play areas across Cumbria you could visit on Monday.

These are the top rated ones according to Google.

Monkey Madhouse, Workington

Rated 4.5 stars on Google.

Following the news on Monday staff took to social media to announce they'd be reopening on May 22.

All information about booking is available on their Facebook page.

One customer said: "This is a decent sized soft play, and it's especially good if you like to keep an eye on your child, as there are not too many blind spots."

Outside-In, Kendal

Rated 4.8 stars on Google.

Earlier in the month the soft play area announced on Facebook they were planning to reopen on May 17.

Outside In is a charity-run play centre in Kendal.

One user left the review: "Great place, great staff, great food." While another said: "Lovely little place, centrally located in Kendal."

The Funhouse, Whitehaven

Rated 4.6 stars on Google.

Taking to social media, the team confirmed the news they'd be reopening on May 17.

However, The Funhouse are waiting for further guidance about the rules that will need to remain in place.

Talking about the play area, one customer said: "My three young children love The Funhouse it's clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful, food,snacks and various hot and cold drinks for kids and adults to enjoy."

Adventure World, Carlisle

Rated 4.3 stars on Google.

On Monday evening Adventure World confirmed they will be reopening their doors on May 17, although certain restrictions will remain in place.

It is planned that they will be open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday on a first come, first served basis with bookable sessions on a weekend.

One customer left the review: "Great little soft play. Easy to see kids while you have a cuppa."

Little Subs, Barrow

Rated 4.3 stars on Google.

The soft play area plan to reopen their doors on May 18.

The website states: "Little Subs is a fantastic indoor play centre for all the family to enjoy. Parents can be at ease knowing their children can play in a safe, warm environment no matter what the weather is outside."

One customer left the review: "My daughter loves this place she would go every day of she could. It's a great soft play centre. One of the best places to take the little ones in Barrow."
