Residents are being urged to share what makes them proud about Egremont.

Cumbria County Council’s Copeland Area Support Team has worked with a range of partners to create an Egremont Town Team, which includes representatives from the local community in Egremont, to develop a ‘place vision’ for Egremont.

The group aims to attract businesses to the town centre, increase and retain the working age population, raise the standard of the town, increase the number of residents, deliver new opportunities for economic and social participation, and increase tourism to the town.

All are encouraged to get involved, sharing what makes Egremont great, and how it can be improved.

By hosting two ‘virtual’ workshops and an online survey, the group is seeking insight, thoughts and knowledge to help shape a powerful vision for the town, with one virtual workshop being held on May 18 at 6pm, and another being held on May 19 at 9am.

To get involved, call the council on 01228 606060 for details on how to sign up.
