The street names have been revealed for the latest development to be built at Edgehill Park in Whitehaven.
The proposed street names for the estate built by Story Homes are: Pollard Way, Hope Drive, Mayflower Lane, Grace Drive and Fame Lane.
The name Pollard Way was put forward by the developer as a tribute to a colleague from Story Homes who managed the early phases of the site and has since passed away.
The other names are from an historic list of shipping working out of Whitehaven.
The new street names were put before members of Whitehaven Town Council at a meeting held last week.
Councillors had no objections to the proposed street name and numbering for the development.
Story Homes were given the go-ahead for a third phase of expansion at the Edgehill Park development last month.
The new phase will include a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom houses.
