A SEVENTEEN month driving ban has been handed to a Carlisle woman who has admitted drink driving.
Tarn Wildey, 31, of Pennine Way, Harraby, was stopped by police on Marc 5 as she drove a Vauxhall Astra in Croft Park, Wetheral, the city's Rickergate court heard.
A breath test confirmed that she had 65mcg of alcohol in 100mls of breath.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
After hearing the details, magistrates imposed the ban - along with a £120 fine, £85 prosecution costs, and a £95 victim surcharge.
The defendant was offered a rehabilitation course, which if completed by April 1 next year will reduce her ban by 17 weeks. The course can cost up to £250, the court heard.
