IT appears Carlisle residents may be getting a raw deal when it comes to the Covid vaccination - according to the thoughts of our readers.

Covid-19 vaccines are now being offered to those aged 42 and above in England.

The latest extension reaches people in England aged 42 and over, or those who will turn 42 before July 1.

However, according to some of our readers, getting a jab in Carlisle is almost impossible.

Lyndsey Alexander: "Would be helpful if their actually was appointments available in Carlisle !!!"

Kelly Louise Cole: "Not one single appointment in the Carlisle area. I work full time and can’t get to any of the places offered."

Soleil Thompson: "Appointments showing in Grasmere, Lancaster and Yorkshire... Nothing local!"

Rachel Sharp has had more luck: "Have just turned 42, live in Carlisle, booked through national site at Penrith hub for this weekend. Very pleased!"

Jan Miller pointed the success in other areas: "37+ invited in Derby."

Mark Bremner is not having the vaccine: "My body,my choice!"

Two others, Charlotte Oliver and Craig Barnes seem to have decided against the vaccine with their identical comments of: "No thanks".

Peter Blakemore joined them: "Thanks but no thanks."

Wayne Bacon posted two images, apparently listing all the dangerous ingredients in the Covid vaccines.

However, the final word is from an image posted by Steve Rankin in response to posts about the "dangers" of Covid vaccines.

His post listed the "terrible" chemicals - up to 4,000 in all - and noted that they were all, contained in blood of every human on the planet.

"Don't be alarmed by words you don't understand from people who want to scare you on Facebook because they are bored ignorant or both.

"Read. Understand. Reduce the stupid.

"Science reduces the stupid," he added.
