Some of Cumbria's lakes have been named among the most popular hastag locations in the UK.
CarMoney has used Instagram hashtag data to analyse 45 of the UK’s well-known lakes, lochs and reservoirs across the UK to reveal the 10 most popular destinations this summer.
The destinations which are the most ‘Instagrammed’ lakes in the UK simply means the lakes with the most hashtags attributed to its name during a search.
CarMoney revealed Windermere came in first place with a whopping 747,991 hashtags, with Loch Lomond second with a 462,888.
Ullswater, Derwentwater, Buttermere and Wastwater all appear on the list.
UK staycations are predicted to be a big hit this summer as people find themselves hesitant to go abroad while restrictions over Covid-19 remain changeable.
