FIRE crews were called to put out three car fires early on Sunday morning in Carlisle.
At approximately 2am, crews from Carlisle East and Carlisle West fire stations were mobilised to reports of vehicles on fire on Chersey Mount off London Road.
When they arrived on the scene, crews discovered that three cars were "well alight".
A spokesperson from Carlisle East Fire Station said the fire looked "suspicious".
He added: "The fire was fully developed on two of the cars and due to the fuel tank rupturing, it spread to the third car."
The blaze was tackled using two sets of breating apparatus and two hosereels.
There were no causalties as a result of the incindent.
Crews were in attendance for 45 minutes.
