A TWELVE-month driving ban has been imposed on a Penrith man who has admitted drug driving.
Gareth Jenkins, 40, committed the offence at Lowgill on the M6 southbound, between junctions 37 and 37, Carlisle's Rickergate court heard. At the time, he was over the limit for a cocaine breakdown product.
Magistrates imposed a £300 fine, along with an order for £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
They ruled that the defendant, of Castletown Drive, Penrith, who was over the limit for benzoylecgonine, can pay the fine and costs at a rate of £75 per month. His guilty plea was taken into account.
