A DOCTORS surgery has been forcered to remind patients and their families to be kind to their staff.
Wigton Group Medical practice issued the message yesterday explaining that as a result of staff sickness and increased demand.
In a post from their social media they said: "Please be kind to our reception staff.
"Due to staff sickness and a significant increase in demand for appointments the surgery is under immense pressure."
Here is what our readers had to say: Denise Broughton Fell said: "These guys are doing an amazing job under extremely difficult circumstances. No one should have to put up with abusive behaviour. Every member of staff at the surgery is amazing, keep up the good work guys."
Davidson Dave said: "All staff are doing the best they can from receptionists to practice nurses and GPs. I needed a same day appointment a few weeks ago and they sorted it straightaway, doctor phoned at the time stated, advised and sorted a prescription to be sent straight to the chemist.
There's no need for anyone to be abusive - probably the same hypocrites that spent Thursday evenings on their doorsteps 'clapping for carers'"
Bryan Ward said: "Works both ways."
