PART retrospective plans for a Carlisle podiatry clinic have been given the thumbs-up.

Carlisle City Council has approved proposals, on Tuesday, for the proposed change of use of a residential flat on Finkle Street.

The application was submitted in February.

According to the recommendations and reasons report, by the council: "The approved podiatry clinic shall not be open for business except between 8am and 8pm, Mondays to Friday, or between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays.

"It shall not operate at any time on Sundays or statutory holidays."
