A popular country show is looking for a new secretary.
Dalston Show has been in existence for more than a century and is a major part of the farming calendar in Cumbria.
It has a mix of farming, countryside and rural activities including livestock judging, equestrian, crafts, industrial and entertainment. Numerous local businesses and companies support the show with sponsorship.
The secretary is the linchpin for a successful show, being responsible for all matters relating to the event. From inviting judges, arranging show field utilities, preparing the show schedule and catalogue to organising the vast team of committee members/volunteers.
