A DRIVER has been handed a 10 week suspended sentence for dangerous driving.

Jacob Taylor (19) of Milner Mount, Penrith appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court on April 1.

He faced one charge of dangerous driving relating to an incident on the A6 Scotland Road at Penrith.

Taylor admitted the charge. He was handed a 10 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and banned from driving for 18 months.

He was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £185 costs.
