It's not long now until pubs can reopen their doors again for outdoor seating.

As part of one company's ongoing Covid-19 secure measures they have invested in outdoor garden spaces to accommodate the easing of restrictions from April 12.

Marston's has invested in the Whittington Cat, Whitehaven pub garden ahead of reopening.

Here's what you had to say about it.

Eddie Clarke said: "Just let us inside and be done with it , all this beer garden nonsense should be done away with."

Denise Poland explained: "Another pub built a gazebo and he was made to take it down it's still in door drinking apparently it's the same as you can go in a shop or supermarket among people but still can't have people in your home it's ridiculous."

Rachael Louvain Greig added: "I'll wait till your allowed to come and go inside and out at your leisure!"

Alice Murphy commented: "Closer to people in supermarkets and garden centres makes no sense."

Paul Irving said: "Outside only but in a tent, no sense really!

"Just open them up and be done."

Steven Shaw added: "You can go to pub but not to a football match, ridiculous."

Phil Rickerby asked: "What the difference between in there and inside a warm pub it's total madness?"

Amber Sullivan, manager of the Whittington Cat, said: “What a year it has been.

"We know people have missed coming to the pub and we have missed having them here.

"We can’t wait to get back to it and welcome guests back once again.”
