A CHARITY in Whitehaven has thanked the public for their generosity in supporting two of their hostels throughout lockdown.
The Whitehaven Community Trust took to their social media pages to publicly thank those that have donated money or items to support their homeless hostel in Lowther Street, Whitehaven and their hostel for young mothers.
They had set up a just giving page to collect donations to support young people aged 16 to 24 years old who are homeless, with all donations used for their running costs. So far people have donated £280 towards a target of £500 to help with running costs of the hostel.
