A WORKINGTON man has been disqualified for driving for 15 months after being found guilty of driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
Sean Fisher, 29, from Cockfield Drive, Workington, pleaded guilty at North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court at Workington to driving a VW Golf at Cockfield Road, on January 1 2021, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath was 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - exceeding the prescribed limit.
Fisher was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 15 months.
This will be reduced by 15 weeks if by January 16 he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
He was also given a fine of £162.
He has to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.
And he has to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Services of £85.
