PEOPLE looking for work are being urged to sign up for a virtual jobs fair.

More than 80 well-known employers commit to ‘first of its kind’ jobs fair this April.

Roles will be available with names including Greggs, Network Rail, Booking.com and more.

NorthWestWorks4U has announced that more than 80 big-name employers have signed up to advertise roles for jobseekers across the region.

Brands including Network Rail, the MOD, Engie, Kier, Greggs, North West Ambulance Service, two NHS trusts, Eddie Stobart, TalkTalk, McCann Health, the RAF and Booking.com have already signed up for NorthWestWorks4U.

There will be more than 8,000 growth-sector vacancies to fill at the fair, which is thought to be the first of its kind in the UK. There will also be support and employability content, with practical advice about jobs for an expected audience of 20,000 local job seekers in the North West.

Jobseekers interested in the event are encouraged to sign up promptly to secure their place for the online expo, running from 6-8 April.

NorthWestWorks4U is being co-organised and supported by both the public and private sectors, with leading regional employers TalkTalk and McCann Health working in partnership with JobCentrePlus.

Peter Jamieson, North West Director for DWP, said: “Ensuring that good quality job opportunities are still available in abundance – despite the pandemic – is vital to continue the growth of this region."
