Yesterday (March 29) marked the reopening of outdoor pools in the UK, following the government's roadmap out of lockdown.

Despite being eager to dive back into the pool, many people are still unsure, therefore experts at ShowersToYou.co.uk looked to find the quietest outside pools in the UK and one Cumbrian pool ranks very highly.

Cumbria is home to a secluded pool, with Shap swimming pool taking second place with just 28 Instagram hashtags.

At more than 900ft above sea level, Shap swimming pool is England's highest open air heated pool.

Those living near by can relish in the fact that is will not be busy as others when it comes to reopening.

With the fewest hashtags of those analyses, Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool in Devon tops the list as the most secluded pool, with just 14 Instagram hashtags.

As well as it being the quietest pool, those that posted about the pool where quick to shout about its heated features making it a hit for the cold English summers.

The third quietest lido in the UK is Petersfield Open Air Pool in East Hampshire, with 35 hashtags. The 25-metre pool is situated 15 miles north of Portsmouth. However, it will only be opening from the first of May for their summer season, meaning you will have to wait a bit longer for the extra space and freedom.

Finishing off the top 10 secluded outdoor pools are:

Nantwich Outdoor Brine Pool (37 hashtags), Hillingdon/Uxbridge Lido in London (41), Droitwich Spa Lido in Worcestershire (49), Chagford Swimming Pool in Devon (52), Park Road Pools in North London (80), New Cumnock Pool in East Ayrshire (129), and Wycombe Rye Lido in High Wycombe (178).
