THE BANNATYNE Health Club in Carlisle has announced it's reopening on April 12.

The company said it's taken measures to minimise the risk and has a "booking system on standby, ready to use if needed".

Other measures include: compulsory wearing of face masks except when exercising, hand sanitising stations, enhanced cleaning procedures, cashless transactions and all facilities spaced to achieve social distancing.

Water fountains will be out of use and members are advised to bring their own water.
Some lockers and showers will be out of action.

Members are also advised to arrive ‘gym ready’ to avoid too many people in the changing rooms.

Ken Campling, chief executive of the company, said: “It has been a long and difficult twelve months but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel."
