IN response to the article on February 24 (Virtual Tours of the Great Border City https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/19112467.take-virtual-tour-historic-carlisle/) — what a great ide!
I’ve got a couple of suggestions for the tour.
1. Fly-tipping sites which are popular with local folk. The road to Little Orton and The Bow has a fine display of old mattresses and a child’s car safety seat.
Gypsy Lonning is always worth a visit to see the abandoned work of local builders and landscape gardeners.
2. Graffiti on the walls of the underpass on the Northern Relief Road (the spelling ain’t too good though).
