BARROW’S 4G coverage is set to be upgraded, the phone network company EE has confirmed.
As part of the Shared Rural Network (SRN) initiative, 11 4G sites in Cumbria, including on Barrow’s Park Road, will be enhanced in 2021.
SRN is a programme between the UK’s four mobile network operators and the UK Government to extend 4G coverage to 95 per cent of the UK’s geography by the middle of this decade.
4G sites Main Street in Hawkshead and the A685 in Docker are also included in the upgrade.
