A CARLISLE store could become one of 12 vaccination centres across the UK.
Boots on English Street has been identified as a potential site for one of the centres by the company.
The pharmacy chain has been in discussions with the NHS since the start of the vaccine rollout programme in January.
While none of the sites have been officially confirmed as of yet, the company has confirmed the Carlisle store could be chosen.
A spokeswoman for Boots said: "Since January, we have worked with NHS England and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) to open 12 COVID-19 vaccination sites across England.
"We continue to work closely with the NHS and discussions are underway to expand this to more vaccination sites in the coming weeks and months, potentially including Carlisle.
"Further details will be announced soon.”
