Hundreds of home hit with power cut in west Cumbria after high voltage cable incident
A POWER cut is affecting hundreds of homes in West Cumbria due to an incident with high voltage cable.
Electricity North West said the incident was reported today at lunchtime in the CA13 postcode area.
The estimated time that power is due to be restored is 3.15pm.
A spokesman for the utility firm said: "The power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on our high voltage cable which provides electricity."
