THREE flood warnings remain in place in Cumbria following a period of heavy rain that battered the county.
Flood warnings - which require immediate action - are in place on the River Eden in Carlisle, Rickerby Park, Swifts, and Stoney Holme Golf Courses; Keswick Campsite; and a separate warning for the River Greta at Keswick, Keswick Campsite, Rugby Club an Quinta.
In addition, eight flood alerts are also in place across Cumbria. A flood alert is less serious than a flood warning, but residents are still advised to be prepared.
Flood alerts are in place at:
Lower River Eden
Rivers Brathay, Rothay, and Winster
Rivers Cocker, Marron, and Derwent
Rivers Duddon, Crake, and Mill Beck
Rivers Greta, St Johns Beck, and Bassenthwaite Lake
Rivers Rent and Bela
Rivers Lowther and Eamont
Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck, and Derwent Water.
Fortunately, there are no further weather warnings in place for Cumbria, while the weather forecast has not predicted any further rain today.
