PROPOSALS to redevelop a Carlisle hotel into nine supported living units has been approved.
Carlisle City Council has green-lighted plans by Cheshire based Riverside Homes for the Angus Hotel & Restaurant on Scotland Road.According to the design and access statement: "The project will provide a safe and appropriate home for people with learning disabilities and or mental health issues. It will be staffed by a qualified team who will link to a wider health and social care team.
One resident wrote to the council to object in order to "strongly object due to the fact that it is too close to a local primary school and preschool".
