MAGISTRATES have given a 45-year-old Carlisle man a 16 week curfew as punishment after he admitted illegally carrying a knife and two driving offences.
John Michael Hull, of Edgehill Road, Harraby, committed the knife offence in Latrigg Street, Silloth, on April 16, the city's Rickergate court heard.
He was carrying a Stanley Knife without lawful authority or a reasonable excuse, the court was told.
Hull committed the driving offences on October 23 last year.
The first driving allegation he admitted was driving a Volkswagen Golf while disqualified on Cumwhinton Road, Carlisle.
The second driving allegation - also admitted - was that he was not insured at the time he was driving.
Magistrates said the curfew will run from 8pm to 6am each day.
It will be electronically monitored.
They also imposed a six month driving ban, along with £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
