A TELECOMS company has been fined £10.5 million by its regulator for overcharging customers.
Mobile network O2 has been fined by regulator Ofcom for an error that saw more than 140,000 monthly subscribers charged double on their final bills. O2 has refunded many customers adding four per cent to the sum. An additional 110,000 people were overcharged by £38 million in total. In spite of the refunds, Ofcom decided that important rules around accurate bills had been breached and that a fine was necessary.
