Northern rail says it's made strides to help mobility scooter users access its network after the pandemic.
Passengers with scooters can now use more than 100 stations following the train operator's launch of a permit scheme which has been rolled out across 21 routes and a 140 stations.
Customers can apply for a permit by being assessed to see if their scooters are safe to be taken on trains.
Maxine Myers, accessibility improvement manager, at Northern said: “More scooter friendly routes will be rolled out in the near future as we continue to make our trains and stations as accessible as possible for our passengers.
“Anyone who wants to bring their scooters on our trains should apply for a permit first so we can check it meets the standards that make it safe for us to take it on-board.”
