Emergency services were called out to Maryport at the weekend.
Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team was contacted by CGOC Belfast Coastguard to assist the North West Ambulance Service to help a casualty on January 23.
The casualty was located below the coastal path above the promenade by the Senhouse Roman Museum.
Due to the nature of the rescue, the neighbouring rescue team at Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team were requested to assist, in case a rope rescue was required to be set up.
As the team was arriving on scene, the casualty was making their own way to a stretcher.
The team then helped the paramedics get the casualty to the awaiting ambulance for transport to hospital.
They reminded the public in a coastal, sea or cliff emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
