Kelly Marie Waite said: “They have been a massive part throughout the pandemic in supporting everyone so also at the same time should be praised for there efforts.”

Deborah Henry said: “Come on folks. The bus drivers have been a lifeline for people still getting to work, getting shopping, dropping kids at childcare, all the necessary things needed to be able to keep going during this pandemic.”

Katy Board said: "There is no way that the bus drivers are to blame for the outbreak.

"If anything, its probably passengers who can't be bothered to keep to the safety measures.

"The buses are sanitised between journeys, and its not the driver's job to police every single passenger as to wearing masks and sanitising hands.

"These are men and women who are literally putting their lives on the line every day,so that those of us without our own transport can still food shop and go to medical appointments.

"Be kind to them because they are one of the groups of frontline workers who have been keeping the UK going, with crap pay and unappreciative passengers."
