RESIDENTS in an area of Cleator Moor are being affected by a burst water main.
In a statement from United Utilities, officials from the company say that locals may have noticed their water has either gone off or is coming out the tap "in a trickle".
"We’ve been out to investigate and found the cause to be a burst water main on Whitehaven Road, CA25," said the statement, released on Twitter.
It adds: "We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
"Our leakage engineers are currently on site and we hope to have your taps flowing again very soon.
"We’ll provide further updates when the repair is complete."
