ONCE again we’ve been looking back through our archives.
This month we found a lot of pictures of Young Farmers’ competitions - Brampton and Kirklinton’s teams from the debating and brains trust contests and Longtown and Raughton Head’s casts in the entertainments competition.
As Newton Rigg’s future still hangs in the balance we look back at happier days - one photograph of the Newton Rigg dinner dance and another showing award winners from 1981.
Even further back and we see what was then a state-of-the-art bulk tank wash being demonstrated. And finally three well-known farming brothers pictured on their farm at Saughtreegate. Let us know if any of this month’s photos bring back memories for you.
