THE public will have the opportunity to find out the latest on the Eden Project North and ask questions of those behind the scheme in a series of 'community conversations' which begins tomorrow.

The northern version of the popular attraction in Cornwall, which consists of huge greenhouses housing exotic plants, is set to open in Morecambe in 2024.

A series of digital events, commencing tomorrow, over video conferencing service Zoom will feature speakers from the Eden Project and associated organisations.

Conversations will be led by David Harland, chief executive of Eden Project International, and there will be time for questions factored in.

Mr Harland said: “Despite the pandemic and lockdowns, we continue to work hard on plans for Eden Project North and have made considerable progress.

"We hope to be able to visit again soon but, until then, see you on Zoom!”

The Eden Project is also planning a formal consultation event in the first half of 2021, with the results feeding into the upcoming planning application.

The first of the hour-long 'community conversations' is taking place at 1pm tomorrow and will discuss what people visiting the Eden Project North might experience.

The events are free-to-attend, but participants must register beforehand.
